The Correspondents’ Club returns today to the “final warning” issued by the United Nations Intergovernmental Group of Experts. The IPCC published, Monday, March 20, the summary of its sixth report. It calls on all countries and economic sectors to act faster and stronger in the face of global warming.

Head to Canada and Australia, two countries that are among the biggest polluters, to see how this report is received. The Australian government did not even want to take note of it. Yet this new government repeated that unlike its conservative predecessors, it was going to engage in the fight against global warming. The Canadian government has announced that it wants “implement a series of measures” to reduce the “fossil fuel addiction”. But the words are not really followed by actions, according to the associations.
