Exit season 18 of Love is in the meadow, Karine Le Marchand is back with a 19th edition of the cult show. Recently, the portraits of the farmers selected for this new adventure have been broadcast on Channel 6. But while the first meetings should not take long to arrive, Gabriella Mermet Matherthe program’s artistic producer, recently indicated that many changes would be expected.
Indeed, production has chosen to be more vigilant regarding the selection of contenders. A decision which follows Justine’s hasty move into Patrice’s farm, the star couple of the previous season.
“At the end of season 18, Karine Le Marchand announced that you would be more vigilant about the contenders. In what way?” asked our colleagues to Pocket TV. To which Gabriella Mermet-Mather responded: “The casting team learned to spot less sincere letters. We will complete the questionnaire given to the suitors by spending more time on the professional part to see if they have a stable situation, projects, and avoid early moves like Justine’s.”
And to add: “But apart from the criminal record, we have neither the right nor the power to verify the information. It’s a roll of the dice, but it’s also a roll of the dice that starts great stories!”

“We learned lessons from last season”
For this new season, only two women farmers have been selected. “It is very difficult to find single female farmers,” confided Gabriella Mermet-Mather before explaining that “agriculture is still a male world and women who are alone often carry the farm, the children, the house, daily life at arm’s length… They have little time left to participate in the program.”
“We learned lessons from last season, starting with the farmers. They were strong, free and independent, but they were a little too focused on love. They knew what they didn’t want, what they needed. needed and, ultimately, they did not know how to let their guard down”, she added. Season 19 of Love is in the meadow promises to be full of changes and twists.
