The Attal government surprised. This Thursday, Alexis Kohler, secretary general of the Élysée, announced the great return to the government of Rachida Dati, fifteen after having been Keeper of the Seals under François Fillon and Nicolas Sarkozy. The politician, as adored as she is feared, is making her comeback in small ways, succeeding Roselyne Bachelot and Rima Abdul-Malak at the Ministry of Culture. A nomination that her best enemy Anne Hidalgo mocked, in “(wishing) good luck” to the world of Culture. But if Delphine Ernotte, president of France Télévisions, and Sibyle Veil, president of Radio France, are possibly looking gloomy, a presenter from a competing private channel has not masked her joy upon the announcement of the arrival of Rachida Dati at Culture: it’s Karine Le Marchand !
Indeed, the M6 host took advantage of the arrival of Rachida Dati in the Gabriel Attal government to promote one of her shows, in which the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris participated two years ago: It is An intimate ambition. On Instagram, Karine Le Marchand offered her hundreds of thousands of subscribers the opportunity to watch the replay of the politician’s appearance on her show, which took place on November 7, 2021. This show, launched in 2016, is the pride of place for political women and men in more personal portraits far removed from politics. Anne Hidalgo also took part in the exercise, as well as Marine Le Pen, Valérie Pécresse and Marlène Schiappa. This latest broadcast of Une Ambition Intimate, focused solely on female politicians, only brought together 2.17 million viewers (10.2%).
The show returns in 2023
But after two and a half years of absence, Karine Le Marchand announced a few months ago that her show would make a comeback in the coming weeks, during the European elections. Indeed, the filming of this new round of interviews took place last November, and the host interviewed four personalities from diverse backgrounds: the president of the RN Jordan Bardellathe minister of the Interior Gerald Darmaninthe EELV-NUPES deputy Sandrine Rousseau and the GDR-NUPES deputy Fabien Roussel. The appointment of Rachida Dati is therefore a very good way for Karine Le Marchand to tease the return of her flagship show!
