How much does… the 2023 GMC Sierra cost?

Being one of the most popular pickup trucks in Canada (along with the Chevrolet Silverado), the GMC Sierra has a multiplicity of versions for the consumer.

Just the most common configuration – which incorporates a crew cab and the short body – has eight variations. The lineup begins with the Pro, SLE, Elevation and SLT, followed by off-road-focused AT4 and AT4X versions as well as the luxury Denali and Denali Ultimate variants.

Multiple engines

Four engines are offered, first with a 2.7-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. At the other end of the spectrum is the 355-hp 5.3-liter V8 and 420-hp 6.2-liter V8. The latter can pull loads from 9,000 lb to 13,000 lb, depending on the configuration.

A very pleasant mechanic, the 6-cylinder turbodiesel has an impressive torque of 495 lb-ft and a towing capacity of 8,900 lb. Fuel consumption is 9.8 L/100 km. On this subject, the chronicler of Car guide Antoine Joubert mentions that he has already obtained a rating of around 8 L/100 km.

A pleasant ride

“ [Sur la route], it’s a truck that drives very well. The level of comfort does not reach that of a Ram with air suspension, but we are really not far away,” notes the expert.

The steering is precise and the driving position “exceptional”. “The cabin is well soundproofed. The chassis is rigid and we don’t feel too much body jolt,” adds Antoine. Furthermore, he criticizes the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system which tends to wobble from left to right on the track.

During the video clip presented at the top of this article, Antoine Joubert gives his impressions about the 2023 GMC Sierra… and reveals its price range!
