A new edition is added to the already exhaustive range of the Porsche 911: the GT3 Touring. This version differs from the GT3 by its less radical look.
“Here, it’s much more discreet and yet, we have all the technical elements of the regular 911 GT3”, explains the columnist of the Car Guide Antoine Joubert. The latter specifies that the GT3 Touring uses the same mechanical, suspension and steering elements.
Aesthetically, it differs in its front and rear bumpers, its unique rims and the absence of a huge rear spoiler.
GT3 engine
In the rear houses a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine that’s borrowed directly from the regular GT3. It produces 502 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. The exercise from 0 to 100 km / h is done in 3.9 seconds with the manual transmission (which fitted the model).

“It’s an extremely well-calibrated manual gearbox for this car and for this engine,” says Antoine.
On the road, it emphasizes balance and breathtaking performance. In addition, the sports car is easy to drive. “For those looking for the ultimate balance and the most impressive level of performance on the circuit… this is the car to choose”, believes the columnist.
Rich interior
Compared to the normal GT3, the Touring is gentrified. Indeed, it is possible to modify the materials, the colors and a range of elements on board, all à la carte. As a rough guide, the trial version had over $30,000 worth of options.

“The level of finish is significantly higher than what you will find in a regular 911 GT3”, specifies Antoine.
Otherwise, the cockpit contains very enveloping and very comfortable seats, according to the expert. “The driving position…it’s perfect! There is nothing else to say! Antoine concludes by mentioning the beautiful presentation of the instrumentation and the excellent visibility.
