A new generation of the Cadillac Escalade saw the light of day in 2021.
Columnist Antoine Joubert explains that the huge utility dominates sales in its full-size luxury SUV segment. For example, sales more than doubled in 2021, when more than 3,000 units found buyers in the first nine months on the Canadian market.
Under the hood, Cadillac offers a 6.2-liter V8 that develops 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Equipped with a ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the juggernaut has a great appetite at the pump. Indeed, the SUV drinks 14.8 L / 100 km (and 15.3 L / 100 km without the stop-start functionality).

Among the competition we find the BMW X7, Infiniti QX80, Lincoln Navigator, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus LX, Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
