how Jean-Jacques Goldman saved his show “Taratata”?

It is not for nothing that he is the French’s favorite artist. In addition to its cult titles adored by all, Jean-Jacques Goldman also allows you to save the French’s favorite shows. Indeed, without him, Taratata

would no longer exist. And it’s Nagui himself who assured it.

The host of the musical program broadcast on France Televisions spoke at a press point this Thursday, October 12, 2023. Mélanie Page’s companion gave some information on the special issue of Taratata

to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show and took the opportunity to thank Jean-Jacques Goldman, without whom it would perhaps no longer be here today.

“Jean-Jacques Goldman saved the show, there is no other word, by participating in the second show”, he confided, always grateful for the gesture of the 72-year-old artist. But how did he save the program which will celebrate its 30th anniversary on November 3? During the second issue of the history of Taratata, Nagui unfortunately did not have “no guests”. However, he was able to count on the French’s favorite artist to get him out of this complicated situation.

A last minute rescue

“Jean-Jacques came, really the day before, at two in the morning, to save us,” he remembered. But the service provided also had positive repercussions on the singer’s career. Indeed, following his visit in January 1993, the interpreter of I walk alone experienced record sales for his albums.

“A few days after the show aired, he called me back to tell me that all the sales of his albums had increased after the broadcast of Taratata”remembered Nagui. In addition to this good news, Jean-Jacques Goldman told the presenter that his show would serve as a springboard for artists other than him: “at that, he said to me: ‘You don’t understand! If my record company knows about it, all the record companies know about it, and therefore, all of them know that they will be able to sell albums or concerts thanks to Taratata.” It has now been 30 years since the 72-year-old singer made a mistake, and the show is still going strong.
