During the parliamentary debates on the pension reform, Aurélien Pradié distinguished himself by adopting the line of a “social right”, a position far removed from that of his political family, Les Républicains. The deputy says he was inspired by Jacques Chirac. Extract from “Succession”, broadcast in “1:15 p.m. on Sunday”.
Aurélien Pradié claims his admiration for Jacques Chirac, perceived as a president who embodied a “social right”. Like the latter,with a little mimicry“, he also seems to have taken a passion for the primitive arts. And it is at the Musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac that the deputy of Lot, filmed by the teams of “1:15 p.m. being inspired by the man who governed France from 1995 to 2007. The character has fascinated him since his adolescence: “I copy it, like a kid. (…) But we avoid saying that we love Chirac at 15 years old. Because we don’t want to come across as a psycho.“

But how does Aurélien Pradié see the current situation? “We are in a period where everything is extremely accelerated, we go from one controversy to another. We are getting used to a deterioration of our parliamentary democracy, our social democracy. We go from one deterioration to another without asking a lot of questions”he believes.
What does the LR deputy from Lot think of the hypothesis, put forward by Emmanuel Macron last summer, of joining a government of national unity which would be extended to the Communist Party of Fabien Roussel? He has a few reservations: “If the hypothesis is a government of national unity which goes from the communists to the right, why not. We are not quite there. We are at a time when we are losing all our bearings in this democracy. If the right and the left spend their time trying to get poached by Emmanuel Macron, the only stable benchmarks that will remain in democracy are the far right and the far left. there, it’s a disaster.”
