A hot air balloon company offers the possibility people with reduced mobility to enjoy a balloon trip. An experience made possible thanks to the investment in a nacelle adapted. #IlsOntLaSolution
To allow people with reduced mobility to get away from their daily routine, the company Aérocom, located in Onzain in the Loir-et-Cher, has invested in adapted nacelles. These give disabled people the opportunity to enjoy a balloon trip over the castles of the Loire.
Bruno Parey, company director and hot air balloon pilot, had this basket manufactured three years ago. The goal is to give faster and more inclusive access to this practice. “The cradles for people with reduced mobility exist mainly in associative structures. This gives quite long waiting lists for them. Suddenly, we said to ourselves that we could also focus our tourist service in order to reduce the expectation of these people “, explains Bruno Paray. Moreover, thanks to the installation of this equipment costing three more than a conventional basket, the company received the Tourism and Handicap label.
These trips give way to a daydream for these men and women. “We have the impression of being like a bird. It is wonderful to be able to witness the sunrise. I am very touched and happy “, says Mohammed Bensenouci, passenger suffering from a motor handicap.
If the technological aspect makes this service affordable to everyone, this is not necessarily the case with its price. It takes between 700 and 900 euros for the service.
