A big scare. TF1 host Jean-Pierre Foucault told Doctissimo on Tuesday, May 9, that he suffered a cardiac arrest in April, while he was at Marseille airport. “I felt a strong chest tightness” getting off the plane, he explains, specifying that he still returned to his home. “Once there, I couldn’t climb the few steps that separated me from the front door. I lay down on the ground, in the garden, and we called for help.”
Hospitalized, the former presenter of “Who wants to be a millionaire?”, 75, was operated on for “unclog a stent” [un tube qui maintient l’artère ouverte], then spent three weeks in rehabilitation. Since then he “rest… and work a minute and a half a day”. Voluntarily withdrawn from TV, Jean-Pierre Foucault has only kept two appointments on TF1: the draw of Euromillions and the Miss France evening.
