Host and comedian Bill Maher launches new book

(New York) Bill Maher had some doubts, or at least some variations to suggest on things he’s already said.

Next June, Simon & Schuster will publish What This Comedian Said Will Shock Youin which the outspoken HBO host revisits some of his on-air comments.

According to the publisher’s announcement, Maher “has revised more than a decade of his editorials, rewriting, reinventing and updating them, and adding new material to speak exactly to the moment we find ourselves in.” .

Topics range from free speech, to drugs, to religion and the entertainment industry.

“We are not investigative journalists – we don’t break stories, we invent new ways of looking at stories,” he said in a statement Friday.

Bill Maher has previously written other books, including The New New Rules and the novel true story.
