Hospitalizations related to COVID-19 continue to decline in Quebec

Hospitalizations related to COVID-19 in Quebec continue to decline, but the province also reports 13 new deaths.

According to the government report published on Tuesday, 1,370 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized, including 431 due to the disease, a decrease of 13 since the previous day.

The number of patients treated in intensive care, however, increased by five, bringing the total to 30, including 15 who were being treated specifically for the disease.

Of the 13 deaths that have been announced, only one occurred in the last hours. Nine people lost their lives two to seven days ago and three more than seven days ago.

In all, since the start of the pandemic, 17,993 Quebecers have lost their lives as a result of COVID-19.

Cases continue to remain at a relatively low level, with 585 new infections recorded in the latest report. However, this data should be taken with a grain of salt since access to the centers is still limited to priority clienteles.

Quebecers declared 49 rapid tests on Monday, including 43 that turned out to be positive.

On the vaccination side, 1019 Quebecers reached out on Monday.
