Quebec ranks at the bottom of the pack in the West in terms of the number of hospitalizations per capita.
Premier François Legault compared the number of patients with COVID-19 in intensive care in Quebec and Ontario this weekend in a message on Twitter.
A comparison of these statistics according to the population of the two provinces shows that Ontario does indeed have slightly more patients with the most severe form of the disease.
Number of Covid patients in intensive care:
Quebec: 282
Ontario: 579— Francois Legault (@francoislegault) January 16, 2022
On the other hand, an analysis of hospitalizations indicates that Quebec recorded more patients admitted to its health care than the neighboring province.
The two governments have introduced very similar health measures.
