This is the good news of the day for Hoshi. Two years after filing a complaint after being the target of homophobic comments after her performance at the Victoires de la musique 2020, the singer finally sees justice doing its job. As Le Parisien announced in its edition of this Tuesday, June 21, a man was arrested in Brittany by the National Pole for the Fight against Online Hate of the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office, which had opened an investigation after the complaint filed by the artist for death threats.
The man spent 24 hours in police custody, during which he reportedly confirmed sending hate messages to Hoshi about his sexual orientation. According to the first elements of the investigation, the man arrested was released but could be subject to possible prosecution. He is described as “addict to screens“according to the elements obtained by the daily newspaper.
The facts date back to 2020. At the time, Hoshi came to defend his title love censorship on the Victoires de la Musique stage, after which she kissed a girl. The wave of violence on social networks was not long in coming, including messages of hatred going as far as death threats: “There, in this case, it was cyberstalking, but they tried to find my address to hit me […] It was super far. In fact, it hurt my heart for all these young people who cannot defend themselves today against this“, she had indicated on the set of Click.
