Upon his return from Beijing, the big forward became a top prospect… and an opponent watched in the Liiga, notably by Sherbrooke defender Thomas Grégoire.

With ten points in 31 games on the Finnish professional circuit, Slafkovsky’s stats aren’t impressive. At least, not compared to Wright’s 94 points in 63 OHL games and Cooley’s 75 points in 51 games with the United States Under-18 Development Team.
