The gunsmith from the filming of the film RustHannah Gutierrez-Reed, was found guilty last Wednesday of involuntary manslaughter by the court of Santa Fé (New Mexico), after having provided the actor Alec Baldwin with a firearm which she had loaded with a live bullet .
Baldwin then allegedly fired, thinking the gun was loaded with blanks, killing the film’s cinematographer, 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins. The incident took place on October 21, 2021 in New Mexico. The guilty gunsmith faces up to 18 months in prison. The trial of Baldwin, also accused and who pleaded not guilty, will take place in July.
