Homemade strawberry tart and vanilla cream

To cook like a chef, here is the list of ingredients for 4 people and the recipe to follow step by step!

Ingredients

For the dough

– 250g of flour

– 90 g of icing sugar

– 15 g ground almonds

– 185 g softened butter

– 1 egg yolk

– 1 punnet of strawberries

For the cream

– 5 egg yolks

– 30 cl of milk

– 60 g of flour

– 100 g of sugar

– 1 Bourbon vanilla pod

– 1 jar of pistachio paste

Preparation

For the dough

Mix the icing sugar and ground almonds with the softened butter. Add the egg yolk then incorporate. Mix gently with the crochet hook and be careful not to overwork the dough so that it does not become too elastic. Roll out the pie crust, line in these circles and blind bake for 10-12 minutes.

For the cream

Mix the egg yolks with the sugar until pale, then add the flour.

Bring the milk to a boil and pour it over the egg yolks. Recook everything until thickened.

Assembly

Let everything cool then spread a little pistachio paste and the cream in the bottom of the pie. Then place the strawberries upright, pressing them together.

Sprinkle with icing sugar and crushed pistachios.
