Less is more
To avoid industrial scrubs, often filled with chemicals, go ahead and make your own scrubs!
To make a gentle scrub for the body: bring a horsehair glove or even better, a sponge gourd.
All you have to do is take a little bit of coarse salt (beware of the untreated one!), or baking soda or coffee grounds. (and hop: Another way to reuse the coffee grounds that have just passed!)
Then rub your previously wet body gently. Massage for a long time, insisting on the elbows and knees. Rinse with lukewarm water.. And that’s it!
With this super simple scrub, there’s no need to add any cream afterwards! This scrub will exfoliate and hydrate.
However, if you have really rough knees and elbows (it also works for the feet!) consider adding a few drops of lemon. And, if necessary, at the end of your exfoliation, a few drops of any vegetable oil.
And for the face?
Replace the salt with sugar, powdered sugar. You add a few drops of vegetable oil and massage your face very very delicately with this mixture.
It’s that simple ! So you make room in your bathroom cupboards, and you have the satisfaction of quickly creating your homemade scrub.
