A man who was the victim of a homejacking on Monday January 8 at his home in Pamiers (Ariège) succumbed to his injuries three days later on January 11, franceinfo learned on Tuesday from a source close to the matter. The police have since identified three suspects, who were arrested on Monday, this source indicates.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim who was sleeping heard a noise at home and found himself facing two people wearing balaclavas. The victim was kicked and punched, but managed to notify the police before losing consciousness.
His life-threatening condition was in jeopardy and his death was declared three days later. The thieves managed to steal a vehicle as well as items stored in a safe. The three suspects were placed in police custody on Monday; the Toulouse judicial police are responsible for the investigation.
