Painting, gardening, cleaning… The town of Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine) offers missions to young people between 16 and 18 years old. Objective: to discover the world of work and build up some savings.
No lie-ins for Éloi. During his school holidays, this 16-year-old devotes four mornings to the town of Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine) to carry out small jobs, whatever the weather. In return, he is paid 15 euros for 3.5 hours of weeding. This is his first professional experience. At 16, it is not easy to find a small job.
Inside the leisure centre, Coline has chosen a mission as an activity leader. She looks after 40 children for half a day. In addition to discovering the profession, this mission allows her to make a little money. A group denounces the precariousness of young people. The town hall defends itself. The objective is not to pay teenagers. In total, many missions are offered, young people have the opportunity to discover various professions within the community. Two conditions to access these missions: live in Fougères, and be between 16 and 18 years old.
