A must in the summer season, ice cream sellers are taking advantage of this very hot and dry summer to develop. In Valenciennes (North), the signs are more and more numerous, but are always full.

Ice cream still appeals to gourmets looking for refreshment. “Ice cream, in summer, it feels good to eat it”, smiles this young boy, blue lips full. In Valenciennes (Nord), there are about ten ice cream parlors in the city center, to the delight of residents, tourists and owners.
“We took advantage of the opening on the sidewalk to install an ice cream counter and it’s a real success”rejoices Marc Debreyne, director of a brewery in Hainaut. “In the city of Valenciennes, there are a lot of people who have started making ice cream, but everyone is still full”, observes a saleswoman working for a chocolatier who has also become an ice cream maker. Some even go there in the morning.
