Hockey Quebec creates new direction for women’s hockey

Hockey Quebec announced Thursday the creation of a new position of director of women’s hockey and development, which will be occupied by Stéphanie Poirier.


Poirier, who is currently the hockey director of Center 21.02, will take up her position on May 6. Its role, indicates Hockey Quebec via press release, will be to contribute “to the development, promotion and growth of women’s hockey” in the province.

The coordinators of the women’s excellence program, Katerine Aubry-Hébert, and of women’s hockey, Camille Ménard-Lebel, will join the department led by Poirier.

Stéphanie Poirier holds a bachelor’s degree in physical activity, kinesiology profile from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).
