Kirill Kaprizov was spectacular as the Minnesota Wild came from behind to win 3-2 in overtime against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday afternoon at Xcel Energy Center.

The Russian striker has scored all the successes of his team. He began his productive day at work early in the third period, when his team trailed 2-0.
Kaprizov beat goaltender Elvis Merzlikins by redirecting a shot from the point. Less than five minutes later, the star player took advantage of a power play to tie the game. In overtime, the hero of the day finished the job by completing a tic-tac-toe game orchestrated by Calen Addison and Mats Zuccarello.
It was the second time Kaprizov had scored a hat trick in the National League, having hit the target three times against the Arizona Coyotes on March 12, 2021. It was also the sixth time the skater had amassed more than one goal in a game this season.
The nets for the Blue Jackets came from the sticks of Mathieu Olivier and Liam Foudy. In front of his cage, Merzlikins faced 44 shots. At the other end of the rink, Marc-André Fleury made 22 saves in the victory.

At Canada Life Center, the New York Islanders shut out the Winnipeg Jets 3-0.
This is the second time in five days that the team from the Big Apple has defeated the Manitoba club.
In net, Semyon Varlamov was perfect on all 23 shots for his rivals and recorded his second shutout in 2022-2023. It’s also the 38th time he’s posted a shutout in the NHL.
Bo Horvat is the one who opened the scoring in this duel. He hit the shorthanded target during the first period. The 27-year-old forward was playing his 11th game with the Islanders since acquiring them from the Vancouver Canucks. It was his fifth goal with his new organization.
