(Montreal) A 19-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation late Sunday evening at Raymond-Préfontaine Park in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
Posted at 6:14 a.m.
Shortly before 11 p.m., police officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) were called to help the young man, who was injured in the upper body by what could be a sharp object.
The victim was transported to a hospital and the police force later confirmed that his life was not in danger.
The first information from the Montreal police suggests that it was a conflict between several individuals which degenerated.
No arrests were made immediately in this case, but a crime scene was erected in the park to allow the police to analyze the scene and meet witnesses.
The assistance of the dog handler was also requested to lend a hand to the investigators in their work.
Raymond-Préfontaine Park is located just behind the Préfontaine station of the Montreal metro, on the green line.
