(Montreal) An 18-year-old man was allegedly attacked by three people on Monday afternoon inside the Collège de Maisonneuve, located in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal.
Posted at 9:13 p.m.
The events occurred around 3:00 p.m., when the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) received a call concerning a person injured following a fight inside the school which is located on Sherbrooke Street, near Nicolet Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, they located the victim, who was conscious and had suffered upper body injuries with an “unknown object”. The man was transported to a hospital, but there are no fears for his life.
Three suspects, men aged 17, 18 and 19, were arrested outside near the scene, said SPVM agent Caroline Chèvrefils. The suspects have been taken to an investigation center where they will be met by the authorities.
The scene of the incident was protected to allow investigators to clarify the circumstances surrounding the fight. In the evening, the object that injured the victim was still unknown to the police and it is not known whether the three suspects and the victim were known to each other.
