Last year, Montreal Canadiens sniper Cole Caufield won the honour. He then joined the CH for 10 games in the regular season before being dominant in the playoffs.

Philadelphia Flyers prospect Bobby Brink may be the favorite to win this year. The small right-winger led the league in assists (42) and points (56) at just 20 years old. The University of Denver product was drafted in the second round (34th overall) in 2019.

McKay is a finalist for a second straight year. The Mankato-based Minnesota State goalie showed his career-best stats in his fourth year in the NCAA. His 37-4-0 record, 1.28 goals-against average and .934 save percentage are among the best in the United States.

Like McKay, Meyers was never drafted by a National Hockey League team. With the University of Minnesota in the competitive Big-10 Division, he has amassed 41 points in 33 games this season.

The winner of the Hobey-Baker will be announced on April 8.
