Historic victory for the Argonauts against the Red and Black

(Ottawa) The Toronto Argonauts finished their regular season with a 16e victory this season, a team record, by beating the Ottawa Rouge et Noir 27-22, Saturday night.


The Argonauts made history with this victory, finishing the season with a perfect 10-0 record against the teams in their section.

In comparison, the Rouge et Noir went 4-14, without a single victory against a section rival.

Cameron Dukes finished the game with 22 of 34 completions for 317 yards, one touchdown pass and two interceptions.

For the Red and Black, Dustin Crum completed 22 of his 35 pass attempts, for 261 yards with two touchdown passes and two interceptions.

The Ontario team saw its running back Devonte Williams achieve his first 1,000-yard season, with 1,003.

The Argonauts took the lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Trailing at the start of the third quarter, Michael Domagala made his third field goal, from 46 yards, to bring the Rouge et Noir closer to five points.

Keaton Bruggeling scored his first touchdown in the CFL for the Rouge et Noir, catching a 16-yard pass from Crum.
