his tweet in tribute to the professor killed in Arras caused controversy and immediately disappeared

Almost three years to the day after the assassination of Professor Samuel Paty, horror strikes again within an establishment. This Friday, October 13, 2023, Dominique Bernard, a French teacher who worked at the middle school in the city of Arras (Pas-de-Calais) was stabbed to death by a former student.

The assailant Mohammed Mogouchkov, 20 years old, had attended the establishment previously, was on file S and therefore recently followed by the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI), due to links with his father (expelled in 2018) and his brother, imprisoned for his participation in a planned attack targeting the Élysée. After killing Dominique Bernard with a knife, the assailant injured another teacher, a technical agent and a maintenance agent, after which he was arrested in the school courtyard.

Since his arrest, Mohammed Mogouchkov, who according to several witnesses shouted Allah Akbar during the attack, has still not explained his actions, a police source told AFP. Originally from Arras, Dominique Bernard, 57, was the father of three daughters and married to a teacher. After studying in Lille, he taught for a few years in prep class, before returning to Arras to teach middle and high school.

Isabelle Ithurburu pays tribute to Dominique Bernard
Since the announcement of the professor’s death, tributes have multiplied on social networks. Like many PAF personalities, Isabelle Ithurburu spoke. “‘Terrorist’ attack in a high school in Arras. Thoughts for the loved ones of the victims… And more than ever with all my heart with the teaching staff” she first wrote on X, formerly Twitter, at the beginning of afternoon, October 13.

Later, Maxime Nucci’s sweetheart wanted to pay tribute to the professor by sharing the cover of Libération magazine… before deleting her tweet.
