This Monday, January 31, 2022 opened the trial of Nordahl Lelandais for the murder of little Maëlys in 2017. Already sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment for the murder of Commander Arthur Noyer, the 38-year-old former dog handler faces a new prison sentence. If he had always walled in silence, Nordahl Lelandais, from the start of the hearing, acknowledged the murder before apologizing to the girl’s family.
In “Touche pas à mon poste”, the same evening, Cyril Hanouna invited his columnists to react to the case. “He has to spend his whole life in prison, the only thing you can’t prove is if the girl was sexually abused but he kidnapped her, he hit her, the left for dead in a ravine… It’s horrible and if you believe the law, he will be released at 55 if there is no remission. It’s a shame” launched Matthieu Delormeau.
If Raymond expressed his wish to establish life imprisonment in France, Kelly Vedovelli for her part declared that Nordahl Lelandais deserves the death penalty. “Every dad on this set would kill this man!” she protested.
Benjamin Castaldi rants
Dad of four children and soon-to-be grandfather, Benjamin Castaldi then spoke on the subject. “I agree with Kelly, the children and the elderly, these should be special cases, it’s terrible to say that but I tell you that if it was my daughter, I tell you, I would have done anything to keep him from going to trial. I’m not afraid to tell you, someone who does this to my son, I’m doing anything to keep him from going to trial, I’ll take care of it first” he said firmly. Harsh words that once again prove how deeply this tragedy shocked the French…
