“Because nowadays everything is known. I might as well announce it to you”… It is with these words – this Tuesday, April 18, 2023 – that Matthieu Lartot addressed his community to announce the recurrence of his knee cancer. In the past, the sports journalist had already struggled like the disease. As a teenager, the diagnosis was made following a shock during a rugby match. After countless examinations, a tumor had been detected on one of his knees.
“For 3 weeks, I knew that this moment would arrive. Today I am forced to move away from the antenna to get back into the ring and fight cancer a second time!”, said Matthieu Lartot on the Web. In adversity, the principal concerned can count on the support of those around him: “There was a 1 to 5% chance of it happening and it happened. It’s going to shake very hard, but I’m ready and very well surrounded”.
