While a cold wave has just invaded France, the situation is more alarming than ever regarding the homeless. Since the start of the year, four people living on the streets have already lost their lives due to lack of space in reception establishments. This Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Patrick, a homeless man living in his car for more than a year, confided in Cyril Hanouna live on the show Do not touch My TV.
The 57-year-old man who is a bus driver explained that he lost his accommodation at the end of 2022, after being duped by his partner at the time. The latter was in fact diverting the rent money that he religiously gave her, for personal purposes. A few weeks after this woman’s premature departure, Patrick then had to face the bailiffs who arrived at his home to demand nearly €20,000 in unpaid debts… In addition to falling from a height, the father quickly found himself in a dramatic situation and has been sleeping in his car ever since.
Cyril Hanouna helps a homeless man in a critical situation
Touched by the situation of this honest man, Cyril Hanouna, who was moved to tears while listening to his testimony, was once again very generous. The host announced to Patrick that a luxury hotel, located a stone’s throw from the chain’s premises, had agreed to accommodate him until next May to allow him to spend the winter warm.
“This evening I would like to offer you a little help, a little helping hand. I have taken the liberty of booking a hotel for you until the month of May. You will be very, very well, with breakfast every mornings. The teams put everything in place for you, they were very touched by your situation and they immediately responded to welcome you, so well done to them!” Baba said.
Patrick will therefore be able to sleep warm this evening and enjoy the comfort of the 4-star establishment. Stunned by this announcement, the man then burst into tears before warmly thanking the host.
