A difficult page to turn… If Nathalie Baye separated from Johnny Hallyday in 1985 after more than three years of love, the 75-year-old actress took much longer to separate from their country house. A beautiful residence located in the Creuse, at the foot of the Millevaches plateau, a place dear to the heart of Laura Smet’s mother… As proof, it was only at the end of the 2000s that the owner of the place chose to part with it permanently. A decision she now regrets.
To our colleagues at Sunday newspaperin 2022, Nathalie Baye had indeed confided: “I don’t understand why I sold it. I don’t know if I can’t analyze it or if I don’t want to analyze it. Laura regrets that I parted with it. […] The house was a paradise on earth. Perhaps the weight of the memories was too much for me to bear.”
A house sold for 600,000 euros to a woman who has curiously never set foot there… As a result, since the sale around fifteen years ago, the property has fallen into ruin. “The extraordinary chestnut tree is gutted, the swimming pool has become a duck pond, the garden looks like a jungle. Everything is upside down. As if the house should not survive it”detailed the ex-partner of the boss.

His former neighbors testify
As for the neighbors of Nathalie Baye’s former home, the disappointment is also very great at the idea of seeing this house lose its former charm. “It’s a shame to see the state it’s in here.
