Thursday, November 3, while questioning the government on migrants and dramas at sea in the National Assembly, the deputy of La France insoumise Carlos Martens Bilongo was interrupted by a “Let him go back to Africa!” emanating from Grégoire de Fournas. Accused of having made racist remarks, the elected member of the National Rally was deprived of half of his parliamentary allowance for two months (i.e. an amputation of 3746 euros per month out of a total of 7493 euros, editor’s note) The deputy for the 5th constituency of Gironde will also not be able to return to the Palais-Bourbon during the next 15 sitting days.

The scene caused a shock wave and aroused many reactions. Laura Smet shared on her account instagram, the release of the 31-year-old politician.
