One woman, two suitors. The long-awaited 18th season of the show Love is in the meadow began on August 21, offering viewers the opportunity to discover a multitude of candidates with varied profiles. Among them, Patrice, a 39-year-old suckler cow breeder and mixed farmer living in Normandy, Jean-Paul, a cereal farmer, Roméo, a dairy cow breeder in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and Anaïs, a 35-year-old goat breeder from New Aquitaine.
Having little experience in matters of love, the latter was encouraged by two of her friends to participate in the program hosted by Karine Le Marchand. In his quest for a gentle man, the thirty-year-old opened his arms to Thomas, a smiling computer scientist from Switzerland, but also to Romain, a mysterious man.

Deep concern in Love is in the meadow
To get to know the pretty brunette, the two rivals then joined her at her farm. If the arrival of Thomas was greeted with enthusiasm by viewers, that of Romain unfortunately did not hit the mark. Especially since the latter did not come empty-handed. Indeed, the young man brought a stock of unconventional equipment. Namely: a shovel and a boning knife. Surprising choices which aroused the concern of Anaïs and Thomas.
Intrigued, the farmer tried to find out more. “I always put this in my crate when I’m out and about.”explained Romain. “When I go away for the weekend or something or go to my parents’ house, this is the gear I take all the time”. Explanations which only amplified the doubts of Anaïs who still wonders: “What is this butcher who comes with knives and a shovel to bury Thomas at the bottom of the garden? I’m not going to say that it scares me either, but I find it weird”. Did Romain want to do well by favoring his tools over flowers and chocolates? Mystery…
