At 83, Jean-Marie Périer is still as active as ever. This Friday, December 15, 2023, he also gave an interview to Yves Calvi on RTL in order to promote the release of his book My sleepless nights published by Calmann Levy. The opportunity for the photographer to talk about his career, but also his personal life.
Without taboo, the artist even addressed a particularly intimate subject on the airwaves of our colleagues: his experience with Viagra. “In the 90s everyone was talking about that.”, he confided. In order not to die an idiot, Françoise Hardy’s ex therefore decided to try the experience. “I told myself that I had to try it once, so I went for it.”

And to continue: “I made an appointment, I took the pill, terrified that she wouldn’t come because there was a housing crisis down there. I wait, she comes, we do business and it was awful because there were three of us in the room. This is obviously not the first time that the famous photographer has told this story. In November 2020, it is in 6 at home that he had recounted his crazy night of love. “I had asked a lovely woman to dedicate herself. It was when I had decided to stop having sex, about fifteen years ago. I still wanted to try it once and see. In the middle, there was this kind of thing, a kind of Schwarzenegger, my penis, which was there, all alone, I didn’t even recognize the guy anymore. INothing was happening, it was a complete failure, it was terrible!” Quite an anecdote!
