New problem for the Beckham family!
According to DailyMail, 11-year-old Harper found herself at the controls of a jet ski while vacationing with her family off the coast of Florida near the island of Key Biscayne. Problem ? Florida state laws prohibit children under the age of 14 from operating this type of craft.
“It is unwise to knowingly allow a minor child to operate a jet ski on a public waterway”explained a spokesperson for the Florida Wildlife and Plant Conservation Commission, Friday, August 12. “If one of our officers spotted what appears to be an underage child operating a watercraft, they would speak to him and his parent or guardian if they were nearby and aware of the activity. “
If a relative of the family spoke in the columns of the tabloid to defuse the controversy by indicating that “the situation was very well managed, David and Victoria are very responsible people”, justice could be severe. A fine could fall and even worse… The consequence of this non-compliance with the law could result in a prison sentence of up to 12 months.
