Anne Le Nen “saved” Muriel Robin
“This is your first photo together with Anne Le Nen, July 20, 2006 in Corsica”first reminded the journalist before continuing: “and there is a sentence, I discussed it with her this afternoon, it’s like Montaigne with La Boétie it’s ‘because it was her, because it was me’ and you say of her, that she saved your life”.
“Yes…”then admitted Muriel Robin who, however, qualified: “well I must not be the only one in this case in a couple, not always because there are lives that do not need to be saved”. Before meeting Anne Le Nen, the 68-year-old artist faced several addictions including alcohol.
“But it’s true that I was… my thing was champagne and cigarettes and her, it was sport (…)”has followed Muriel Robin who ensured “wanting to get out of that (his addiction)”. However, she recognized that “alone”she wouldn’t be there “maybe not arrived”.
His companion, much more important than champagne
“When a person already loves you, when you have accepted a little bit of being loved, and they say to you: ‘Listen, you can drink a liter of champagne if you want, but I’m not going to be able to stay there because I love you and I don’t want to see you hurt yourself’. When someone tells you that, you don’t say ‘ok, hello’… no. Because, what’s more interesting? Champagne or being with someone who wants to make you feel good? So there”the actress subsequently explained.
If Muriel Robin had a part of her that wanted to stop, she acknowledges that there was “a very important part of Anne”. “And that kind of connects two people… It’s actually called love, quite simply”she tenderly concluded, happy to have met the love of her life who allowed her to get out of a bad situation.
