His colleague from “Télématin” heavily condemned by the courts…

Among the familiar faces of Telematin on France 2, is Carinne Teyssandier. The culinary columnist has officiated since 2007 on the show. The 45-year-old woman made headlines a few years ago! Indeed, she faced justice as revealed at the time The Parisian. With her ex-husband Jérémy Augereau, she was sued by their Mauritian governess, Joanne Dimba. They were accused of“employment of a foreigner without a work permit” at their home in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne) “concealed work by concealment of employee” and “Aid for illegal stay of a foreigner in France”.

The employee was paid 700 euros per month for 13 hours of work performed each day while she was supposed to work 20 hours per week (i.e. 80 hours per month), and had been hired as “operational assistant” by the host’s production company, for a salary of 1,300 euros; moreover, she only had a tourist visa which did not give her the right to work in France. She had gone to court when she was fired, leaving her undocumented, jobless and homeless.

In September 2016, the ex-couple was sentenced to a fine of 5,000 euros and a six-month suspended prison sentence. “I admit my fault, even if I did all the steps for this person. I am condemned for having helped someone. The price to pay is a bit heavy. But that’s how it is. And above all, the court acknowledged that there had been no exploitation, no hidden work. I am not a slaver”, explained Carinne Teyssandier to the newspaper before indicating that she had been able to count on the support of William Leymergie, former flagship animator of Telematin. “I received a lot of support, especially that of William Leymergie. He was exemplary. I fell into his arms as if they were those of my father. When we have problems, he is always there. In 30 years by profession, he too has been in turmoil. He knows what it is. And we can say what we want, he’s a great guy”.

After this criminal conviction, Carinne Teyssandier had lost her trial at the Conseil des Prud’hommes de Créteil. She had to pay 35,000 euros to her ex-governess.
