He was teasing his new project for several weeks already, but with these words, this Thursday, November 10, Omar Sy officially announced the release of a new film in which he stars. A feature film that will take us back to the dark years and the hell that France experienced, namely the First World War of 1914-1918. A period that no Frenchman has forgotten and certainly not the ex-sidekick of Fred Testot. It is therefore with great pride that he shared the official poster of the film directed by Mathieu Vadepied: Skirmishers.
In his Instagram post, the actor took the opportunity to unveil the synopsis of this feature film which will be released in theaters on January 4. “1917. Bakary Diallo enlists in the French army to join Thierno, his 17-year-old son, who has been recruited by force. Sent to the front, father and son will have to face the war together. Galvanized by the ardor of his officer who wants to lead him to the heart of the battle, Thierno will free himself and learn to become a man, while Bakary will do everything to save him from the fighting and bring him back safe and sound”wrote Omar Sy.

A project that promises to be filled with emotion. Omar Sy also allowed his community to have a glimpse of what awaited us.
