On January 15, Jean-Jacques Bourdin found himself targeted by a complaint for attempted sexual assault which allegedly occurred in 2013, in Corsica. After a few days of hesitation and media turbulence, the host had finally been dismissed from the antenna of BFMTV and RMC. In a press release sent to AFP, the 72-year-old journalist expressed his deep dissatisfaction following this eviction: “I regret the unilateral decision of the BFMTV Group and RMC to withdraw me from the antennas to prevent the risk of instrumentalization of the complaint of which I am the subject. I remind you that I contest the facts of which I am accused and deplore that the principle of the presumption of innocence is ignored“, he was sorry. Since the outbreak of this case, an investigation has been entrusted by the Paris prosecutor’s office to the police station of the 16th arrondissement.
In mid-February, the former host of “Thalassa” Fanny Agostini revealed to be at the origin of the complaint for “attempted sexual assault” filed against the husband of Anne Nivat. In the process, host Sidonie Bonnec also broke the silence, saying that the former RMC journalist had made him “an embarrassing proposal” in 2010. Since this legal storm and his media ouster, Jean-Jacques Bourdin had remained rather discreet.
This Sunday, April 24, the faithful of Jean-Jacques Bourdin were able to rejoice in a somewhat enigmatic message. Indeed, the former host of “Bourdin Direct” published an ambiguous message concerning a possible return to the antenna. ‘When will we see you again?’ I am asked this question very often in the street. Again this morning when going to vote. I invariably answer ‘soon…’“, he wrote. No other details were given and there is no doubt that the next few days should shed some light on this nebulous message.
