Rarely has the death of an artist sparked such a wave of love in Quebec. Upon the announcement of the death of Karl Tremblay, singer of the Cowboys Fringants, on November 15, many fans gathered in the streets in Montreal, in l’Assomption (Lanaudière) – his place of residence, and elsewhere in the province.
We then attended a concert of praise from artistic, political and sporting circles, like the tribute paid by the Canadian before a duel against the Vegas Golden Knights at the Bell Centre.
Around 14,000 people gathered in the same venue on November 27 to pay their last respects.
