Gradually, relatives arrive to get news. “She was leaving for the canteen and she had to take refuge as quickly as possible in a class, (…) she is confined and waiting for the green light to go out“describes the relative of a student.
The National Assembly interrupts its work
13 Heures was able to reach a mother by telephone, who is waiting in front of the establishment. “My daughter-in-law is there. (…) Lots of people have tears in their eyes, but the system is so important that everyone trusts and waits for the students to come out“, she explains. The National Assembly interrupted its work to express its solidarity. Thursday October 12, during his speech, the President of the Republic called for the unity of the French in the context of the war in the Middle East. He immediately went to Arras. The attack took place three days before the commemorative date of the assassination of Samuel Paty, a history and geography professor killed with a knife on October 16, 2020 by an Islamist terrorist.
