“Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard has this gift for telling daring stories that we love. […] High demolition is a love story taking place in the middle of humor and right in the middle of the #metoo denunciation movement,” said Julie Godon, senior director of French-language specialty channels at Corus.
High demolition tells the explosive relationship between Raph, an up-and-coming comedian whose career isn’t taking off fast enough for his liking, and Laurie, who has never dared to pursue her dream of becoming a comedy writer. Étienne Galloy and Léane Labrèche-Dor play the two main roles.
Irdens Exantus, Guillaume Gauthier, Carolanne Foucher, Éric Bernier, Erich Preach, Noémie Leduc-Vaudry, Michel Charette, Francis-William Rhéaume, Bruno Marcil and Hélène Bourgeois Leclerc are also part of the cast.
Filming for the drama series, written by Jean-Philippe Baril Guérard and Suzie Bouchard and directed by Christian Laurence, has just begun in the Montreal region and will continue until the end of August.
The six one-hour episodes will be broadcast next winter on Séries Plus.
