Will the conflict in Gaza spread to the region? The leader of Lebanese Hezbollah spoke the day after the elimination of Hamas number 2, near Beirut.
The Israeli army closely monitors its border with Lebanon. Since Wednesday January 3, it has suffered a series of attacks claimed by Lebanese Hezbollah. A struggle which extended to Lebanese territory on Tuesday January 2. Hamas number 2 and 6 other officials were killed in a strike in the suburbs of Beirut, a first since 2006. In front of a conquered crowd, the powerful leader of Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, warned Israel: “If the enemy Israel plans to wage war in Lebanon, we will fight without restraint and without limits, they know what I mean”he said.
