Erwan L’Éléouet, journalist, is the co-director of the documentary “Florent recounts Pagny”. Guest of 19/20 info, Friday March 15, he explains why the public is attached to this singer.
In a documentary, Florent Pagny talks about his career, his childhood, his successes, but also his failures. “He is a very popular singer, very appreciated by the French, because he has this strength of character, this banter, this frankness which is very popular”explains Erwan L’Éléouet, journalist and co-director of the documentary Florent tells Pagny, in the 19/20 news of Friday March 15. Coming from the middle class, Florent Pagny started singing at 10 years old. “He doesn’t know what he’s going to do with it, but he knows he has a nugget, something strong”explains the journalist.
“Offering the best to the public”
The documentary looks back on several important moments, including a duet between Florent Pagny and Johnny Hallyday which almost did not take place during a concert at the Parc des Princes. The singer also talks about a concert with his idol Luciano Pavarotti. The documentary depicts an artist who often doubts, but does not give up. “There is this desire to perform, to succeed and to hold up, to offer the best to the public”assures Erwan L’Éléouet.
