“I have the feeling that Emmanuel Macron was not aware of this wall that is coming up in front of us”, said Thursday, March 24 on franceinfo Hervé Morin, president of the Normandy region and president of the Centrists. According to him, the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine for French companies will be “absolutely formidable within a few weeks.”

“What I fear is an economic explosion with colossal social consequences in the coming weeks if the war continues”explains Hervé Morin. “Nobody realizes this because the order books are full but very clearly, dark clouds are gathering on the horizon and the risk of a major economic explosion is now at our doorstep”assures the president of the Normandy region.
“I met a lot of business leaders”recounts the former Minister of Defense. “All costs are rising, we have companies whose margins are collapsing”alerts the chosen one. “I was talking to a glassmaker in Normandy this morning, the electricity bill in his company went from 400,000 euros to 1.4 million euros in the space of a few weeks. For this company, it’s a question of life or death to find decent energy prices.”
Hervé Morin also calls “all companies” to have no more “no relation with Russia”. “I find that there is no reason to give Vladimir Putin the slightest gift”justifies the president of the Centrists.
