Heritage High School in Longueuil is closed Monday due to threats

A police intervention qualified as preventive was underway before the opening of the classrooms, Monday morning, in a secondary school of the borough of Saint-Hubert, in Longueuil.

The Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) specifies that it is the Heritage regional high school, an English-language establishment of the Riverside School Board located on Chambly Road, a little bit further on. west of highway 30.

Threatening remarks were said to have been made at the start of the day against the school. The police have decided to open an investigation into this case; by mid-morning, the nature of the threats was not yet known.

The situation was deemed serious enough to decide to cancel classes for the day.

In a communication to its Facebook page, the Riverside School Board announced that the drivers of all school buses that take students to Heritage Regional High School have been advised that they must turn back and the students must return home. them.

The parents of the few students who had arrived at the school were asked to come and pick them up as soon as possible.
