Tennis legend Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian are expecting their second child and their daughter Olympia can’t wait to be the baby’s big sister.
The couple revealed the happy news earlier this month at the Met Gala, but had to tell their 5-year-old offspring first and that’s how she found out about the 41-year-old mum’s pregnancy a day before everyone else. Moreover, the parents wanted to immortalize the moment, a video posted on YouTube on Tuesday illustrating it well.
“Do you remember when you prayed for a little brother or a little sister? Well, I went to the doctor and I didn’t get fat: I have a baby in my stomach,” the player told her daughter.
“You’re kidding? Oh my god, I’m so excited!” Olympia replied in the four-minute clip that begins with Williams showing off her positive test.
Olympia then jumped for joy and hugged her mother, then ran into the house.
“We knew you were going to be happy, added the dad. You have a lot of work to do to be a big sister.”
The American’s first childbirth was not easy, as she underwent an emergency caesarean section. She was also treated for blood clots that had formed in her body.
