Mystery around the Sheherazade… This ship, estimated at around 700 million dollars, is currently moored in the Italian port of Marina di Carrara on the Italian west coast. A 140-meter-long yacht is one of the 13 largest in the world. It is made up of several decks, a helipad, a swimming pool and many cabins, including taps and a gold toilet roll holder as specified in the Sun. “Every surface is marble or gold. There are countless pools, a spa, a sauna, a theater, ballrooms, a gym, two helipads. It’s like a mini-city”said a worker who participated in the construction of this yacht.
According to the DailyMail, the anti-corruption team of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has proof that this gigantic boat belongs to Russian President Vladimir Putin and calls on the Italian authorities to seize it. In a video shared on Alexei Navalny’s Youtube channel, investigators explained that the captain of the ship would be of British nationality, but that the rest of the crew would belong to the FSO and the FSB, two Russian secret services.
“A dozen guards and Putin’s personal servants permanently maintain one of the largest yachts in the world, moored in an Italian port. We believe this is proof enough that Scheherazade belongs to Putin himself and that it must be seized immediately”, said the relatives of Alexei Navalny in a video shared on Youtube of Alexei Navalny. They explained that the captain of the ship would be of British nationality, but that the rest of the crew would belong to the FSO and the FSB, two Russian secret services.
The Russian president is subject to personal sanctions from the European Union. If this yacht really belonged to him, it could be seized by the authorities.
