Dodge introduced a so-called improved version of its artificial exhaust sound earlier this month. muscle car electric Charger Daytona SRT, the production model of which will go on sale in 2024.
Recall that the concept was presented for the first time in August 2022. Dodge, who wants nothing to do with launching a boring electric vehicle, equipped it with an external sound device called Fratzonic which recreates an exhaust system whose roar can reach 126 decibels, the equivalent of a V8 Hellcat.
Many amateurs were not very convinced when they heard it. The company took advantage of the last SEMA Show in Las Vegas in November to show the car again and gather more feedback to make adjustments.

According to CEO Tim Kuniskis, the Dodge team has already tweaked the car’s sound hundreds of times and will continue to work on it until it comes to a satisfactory result. say it lives up to what Dodge enthusiasts are looking for.

Up to 670 horsepower… and even more
Since the concept presented at SEMA, Dodge has been talking about nine power possibilities. Using a 400-volt electrical system, the base electric motor delivers 340 kW (456 hp), otherwise 370 kW (496 hp) with the eStage 1 package and 400 kW (536 hp) with the eStage 2 package. optional engine starts at 440 kW (590 hp), then increases to 470 kW (630 hp) with the eStage 1 package and 500 kW (670 hp) with the eStage 2 package. the dashboard to “unlock” the excess power.
That’s not all, because as announced last summer, Dodge also plans to offer an 800-volt electrical system called Banshee. Again, three power levels will be possible, but we do not know them yet.
